Infinity Competitions are delighted to be giving away this
immaculate rare Subaru. It’s a limited edition model, 1 of only 1000 built
for the Japanese market. The 555 Livery was a factory option which this car
took full advantage of.
Colin McRae’s Subaru 555, the iconic blue and yellow Subaru Impreza WRC car,
particularly the one he drove to win the 1995 World Rally Championship,
becoming the youngest champion and first Brit to do so, famous for his “If
in doubt, flat out” style, solidifying the car’s legendary status.
The 555 was a dominant force in rallying, symbolizing McRae’s aggressive
driving and Subaru’s rally success with Prodrive. Our car, ‘L555 WON’ is a
replica of Colin’s legendary ‘L555 BAT’.
‘L555 WON’ was modified in Japan for local road racing & had evidence of a
3rd place finish sticker on the windscreen. The head cloth is signed by
British rally car driver Nicky Grist.
The Version 2 555 STi has the upgraded engine internals & head, it also runs
a much shorter gearbox & rear diff for faster acceleration. The Special
registration number is included (L555 WON), how appropriate!
It has its original document wallet & hand books in Japanese. It also has a
large A4 history folder from its UK owners.
The vehicle presents in immaculate condition, inside out and underneath
having been in Japan for most of it’s life. It was first registered in the
UK in 2017 and has been dry stored as part of a private collection since,
it hasn’t seen a wet or salty road since landing.
The Subaru will be supplied with a years full MoT and will be delivered free
to your door in the UK.
